CONTINENTAL DRIFT
After so much time spent abroad, I dedicated 2006 to exploring bits of my own continent. 12 months of living my dream. Here is a quick summary of what I did in 2006:
February: San Francisco. Flew in a news helicopter. Drove across the country via Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Fredonia KS, and Panama OK.
March/April: Atlanta. Worked on a sailing documentary with my cousin Danika. Visited DC. Spent my 30th birthday in solitude in the southern Appalachians (Joyce Kilmer Wilderness). Learned to brew kombucha
May: Exploration of the Carolinas with Mike Nieto. Bicycle trip up the Outer Banks of North Carolina, into Virginia. (That album is way incomplete! Check back later for the good photos!)
June: Returned to California (and Vegas) to sing Doo Wop. Substitute-taught a week of high school with Wendy in DC. (Photos to be added!)
August: back to DC to pick up my car. Philadelphia. Michigan to visit family. Burning Man.
September: New York, Boston, bike trip up the coast of Maine.
November: Hiking and bicycling in Hawaii, Oahu, Kauai.
December: Moved to Berkeley, found a home, found a job, made a bed, bought a boat, etc. |
