Favorite pastime: Drag behind the moving boat in crystal clear water with a mask and snorkel. Get the sensation of flying and enjoy fantastic views of the rudder.

What happens when, in the middle of your haircut, it's time to cast off? You put the rest off until a few days later, of course. Grooming gets low priority on the Supernova.

Our first catch, off Cancun. They call this cero mackerel. (http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/fish/Gallery/Descript/CeroMackerel/CeroMackerel.html)
The locals love this in ceviche... We arrived at Punta Maroma, dingied ashore with this guy, our barbeque and a 6-pack, and had a sunset feast. Delicious, fresh, and we even ate some raw. Despite our appetites, the three of us couldn't finish this guy and we saved the rest for breakfast tacos.

Somewhere off the coast of the wild Yucatan we rocked out to the Ditty Mu. Here is our stero setup. That's a solar- and windup-powered radio, and an MP3 player with FM transmitter. Notice virgin savage coastline in background.

There are the ruins of Tulum, as see from the sea. The Mayans build this amazing city, complete with pyramids and temples, as a well-fortified jamboree. Used to be painted bright colors.

At last, we made it! After three days of sailing, including two sketchy reef passes during which our engine failed, and running aground on coral (ack) we finally made it alive to a very jostly anchorage behind the reef in Tulum, right in front of the palapa- and backpacker-ridden beach. Mike left us here and headed home.
