My entrance into Utah was a snowy one. By this point I had gotten used to the slow driving and foot-heater. *

I've forgotten what town this is in. *

This is the entrance to Moab, Utah, set in a beautiful valley where the Colorado River comes plunging out of a gorge, only to plunge into yet another. *

After staying the night in a hostel in Moab, I went for a morning exploration of Arches National Park. *

...and at AJ's recommendation hiked out to the Delicate Arch. *

... where I found these two young happy Japanese tourists. We shared some banana mash (with almond butter) and hiked back to our little red cars. They were on a 3 week trip without music so I gave them two CDs: my B-Side Radio mix and a Red Snapper album. *
